Will I outgrow my asthma?

That is a question that we hear a lot.  The course of asthma is highly variable, including any combination of remissions and relapses, and thus the prognosis is difficult to predict. A recent study was done that followed patients for a full 15 years and analyzed asthma activity. These researchers found that three-fourths of patients had at least a 2 year gap in their asthma activity which which suggests the natural course of asthma is to wax and wane over the years- but doesn’t completely resolve.
